Connecting Energy Business Accounts and Nominating Representatives

SME and C&I energy retailer accounts can have a variety of users such as payroll, staff and administrators. To share data you will need to grant specific users the access privileges to share data on behalf of the business.

This is called a Nominated Representative. Once a Nominated Representative is set up, any user with the appropriate privileges can share access to your business's data with any third party application. This guide outlines the processes for adding nominated representatives with major Australian energy providers.

These nomination processes are determined by each energy provider under CDR regulations. Fiskil cannot bypass these requirements, but we're here to support you throughout the process.

If You're Not Satisfied

If you experience difficulty or delays with a provider during the nomination or consent process, you can:

  • Raise a complaint with the provider directly - each provider has an internal complaints process.
  • If unresolved, you can escalate the matter to the ACCC at ACCC-CDR@accc.gov.au or via the CDR Service Management Portal.
  • You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if the issue relates to privacy or access rights under CDR.
